Journey Through Art is a programme for young people aged 6–13 years*. Once a month, the Burton will host workshops for this age group covering a variety of creative media and skills. Come along simply to have fun and get creative, or choose to work towards an Arts Award.
Regular participants who want to work towards an Arts Award can pick up a Journey Through Art Passport for £2 to keep a record of their hours. You can purchase your Passport online or in person from the gallery shop.
Upcoming sessions:
- Sunday 26 January 2025: Taking inspiration from the exhibition Other Worlds: New Works From Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, we will make our own imaginary landscapes using relief printing, block printing and trace monotype.
- Sunday 23 February 2025: Explore techniques of intaglio printmaking and chine colle using recycled materials.
- Sunday 23 March 2025: We’ll be creating work inspired by the Schools Exhibition
