The Sculpture 100 is a journey of one hundred public sculptures over a period of one hundred years. Starting in 1905 with the Victoria Memorial, Thomas Brock and Aston Webb, at one end of London’s Mall to Alison Lapper Pregnant, Marc Quinn, on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square a century later. This film covers those and ninety-eight other distinctive, significant and quirky public sculptures made for England in between. This wonderfully photographed film features works by Jacob Epstein, Eric Gill, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Richard Deacon, Anish Kapoor, Rachel Whiteread and more. Interviews with Antony Gormley, Anthony Caro and Tony Cragg and other incredible artists providing context to the stories told by the sculptures themselves.
