Olivia, TJ and Ellie recently collected their Bronze Arts Award from the Burton at Bideford. They achieved their awards working on the Where’s Your Head At? project which included exploring the work of American photographer Diane Arbus and working to raise awareness of wellbeing & mental health in the Torridge, developing their photographic skills and curating a three day exhibition at The Burton.

The awards were delivered in partnership with our local youth service Space and funded by Tate Modern as part of ARTIST ROOMS, Bideford Rotary Club, Westward Ho! & Bideford Art Society, Torridge District Councillors Brenton & Pennington and The Bideford Bridge Trust.

“We’d like to congratulate Poppy, Tate & Willow who also achieved Bronze Level Award. Well done to all these young people!” said Learning & Engagement Manager Julian Vayne “Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification which goes up to A level standard, with our partners Space we’re running more Arts Awards at the Burton which is great because it’s a very flexible and accessible process. It really helps young people develop their skills, knowledge and experience of the arts while gaining a nationally recognized qualification.
