The Burton at Bideford has launched a new online project ‘Seeds of Hope’ to help spread hope, joy and optimism during these difficult and uncertain times. Launched on the Burton’s social media pages, we are asking for people to share with us paintings, drawings, photographs, films or words that inspire them with optimism. In return, we will be sending some of our “seeds of hope” (sunflowers and geraniums) that will grow over the next few weeks which they can take some joy from in the future.
After just a few days of launching, we’ve already had over 40 brilliant submissions. A selection of beautiful scenic photography, pieces of art and poignant words. Many of these have been shared across the Burtons social platforms to fill social feeds with a little bit of joy in these hard times. We also hope to see in the coming week’s photos of people’s progress growing their seeds.
If you would like to get involved please email us at info@theburton.org and include a submission that inspires you with optimism.
