A one-day introduction into the process of linocut printmaking with printmaker Helen Murgatroyd. You will learn how to use traditional cutting tools and printing processes to produce your own linocut print. We will explore different markmaking ideas and carving techniques, which you can explore with your own designs.

A workshop for adults. Suitable for beginners/intermediate.
What you need to bring
All materials provided. Please bring along any ideas you might have for your print – sketchbooks, photographs, magazine cuttings etc. You will be working on an A6 sized print. Alternatively, come and be inspired on the day!

Car parking
This workshop takes place at the Burton Art Gallery and Museum. We are situated on the edge of Victoria Park in Bideford, next to a Torridge District Council owned car park where charges apply. For more details on parking in Bideford, visit the Torridge District Council website.
