Our new exhibition Other Worlds: New Works from the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers opens on Saturday 11 January, and we have organised a busy launch weekend to celebrate.
The weekend starts with an Exhibition Preview on Friday 10 January, 6pm-8pm. Come along to celebrate the opening of the show – everyone is welcome at this free drop-in event.
On Saturday 11 January we are running a Meet the Printmakers event from 10am-4pm. Merlyn Chesterman, Ruth Uglow, Michelle Griffiths and Jim Anderson, who will be sharing insights into their work and demonstrating their techniques. This is a free drop-in event – see our website for details.
Also taking place on the Saturday at 3pm is Artist Talk: Juncture with Ian Rawlinson. Ian’s talk will discuss film making, printmaking and memory, and how the subtlety of developing ideas through the filter of memory is intertwined with the technical aspects of printmaking. And on Sunday 12 January join us for Artist Talk: Printmaking Today with Hilary Paynter, Leonie Bradley and David Robertson. Printmakers Hilary, Leonie and David will share insights into their individual practices before embarking on a conversation about printmaking today: its past and its future.
