Join us for a workshop and learn how artists are inspired by drawing from the subconscious to make and find inspiration for their artworks.
Each participant will receive their own concertina book and be asked to fill it with collage, drawings and words.
The morning will be spent looking at prints in the gallery of the Royal Society of Painters and Printmakers exhibition, focusing on three or four prints, making drawings and sharing ideas. The afternoon will be spent developing drawings into a concertina book of imagery using a variety of materials such as graphite, pen, Japanese papers, and cut-out words.
Tutor and artist Richenda Court RE will share samples of how her daily subconscious drawings are made and how they become the foundation of her prints.
Who is this workshop for?
