An Introduction to Woodcut Printmaking

This one-day workshop with Merlyn Chesterman RE will allow you to learn enough about this ancient technique to be able to carry on at home with minimal expense. You will explore the woodcut process from ideas through to cutting, proofing and printing in black and white.

Who is this workshop for?

Age 16+. Suitable for all abilities.

What you need to bring

If you have a sketchbook then please do bring it.

Car parking

This workshop takes place at the Burton Art Gallery and Museum. We are situated on the edge of Victoria Park in Bideford, next to a Torridge District Council owned car park where charges apply. For more details on parking in Bideford, visit the Torridge District Council website.
