Join exhibition curator Warren Collum for a guided tour of the RJ Lloyd 1926-2020 Memorial Exhibition.
RJ Lloyd was an influential British artist based in Bideford. He is known for his semi-abstract style, which drew heavily from his love of nature and his surroundings in Devon. Largely self-taught, he worked across various mediums including painting, printmaking, ceramics, and stained glass, and his works feature in a number of significant collections including the V&A and Tate.
Warren has worked closely with Lloyd’s family to present many rarely shown works in this exhibition and will discuss the themes and inspirations in Lloyd’s art, his collaborations with other artists, and his life and legacy in Bideford.
