Room Hire at The Burton

The Kingsley Room at the Burton at Bideford is a flexible space. It can be a standing reception room for 50 people or a board meeting for 20.

Whatever workshop, award ceremony, product launch, party, artist retreat or other important events you’d like to put on, we can make the room work for you.

On the first floor of the Burton at Bideford, the Kingsley Room is right next to our fantastic museum and its multitude of displays and is where over 65 years of art and creative expertise have flourished.

Self-catering equipment is provided or you can book a table for lunch at Café du Parc.

  • Up to 50 people standing
  • Up to 20 people seated
  • Free WiFi

  • Use of kitchenette with urn, kettle, microwave, fridge and sink. Hirers are welcome to supply their own refreshments at no additional cost.

  • Basic supplies for self-catering purposes can be provided

  • Use of flip chart and pens (2 working days notice required)

  • Use of DVD/TV Combination Unit (2 working days notice required)

*A registered charity number is required for charity rates to apply.

 

Additional charges
A £5 (£6 including VAT) cleaning charge will be added if the room is not left as found.

Those organisations without their own insurance can purchase public liability insurance through the Burton at Bideford, via the Room Hire Booking Form at an additional cost of £7.50.

Basic supplies for self-catering purposes can be provided in the room (tea, coffee, milk, sugar) for £15 including VAT for up to 15 people per session

Hirers are asked to set up and clean away their refreshments.

The Burton gallery space - for guided museum tours

Gallery Hire at The Burton

Where better to hold an event than in our spectacular gallery which is guaranteed to impress!

Showcasing local, national and international exhibitions, the gallery is the perfect space to inspire guests. The gallery can hold up to 150 people standing.

Outside catering would need to be organised separately. Catering may be possible through Café du Parc. Please contact them direct on 01237 429317.
